for beginners and refreshers

This 2- or 3-day online course offers hands-on training with anynode, using Azure-based virtual machines for exercises. Designed for participants with VoIP and SIP knowledge, it equips them with the skills to configure anynode effectively. Completion certifies attendees as official anynode partners.

Students will attend the online anynode academy via Microsoft Teams from their own PC (preferably running Windows) and access a personal Azure VM via RDP for hands-on training.

Guided by an instructor, they will install anynode, create configurations, and connect it to a SIP provider, IP-enabled PBX, and Microsoft Teams. Routing between nodes will also be configured.

Participants will use integrated tools for configuration, troubleshooting, administration, and performance analysis and will gain familiarity with the TE-SYSTEMS community and its documentation to support their anynode use.

The course is conducted in English or German. For an optimal learning experience, we expect participants to have an advanced understanding of the language.
Knowledge of fundamentals of internet protocols (e.g., IP addressing, DHCP, DNS)
PC running Windows OS
Smartphone or Tablet with MS Teams mobile app pre-installed (will be used for logging into training account)
Unlimited internet access (such as, no blocked ports, no web proxy, etc.) for a seamless experience
An additional monitor to enable parallel work in different systems
A webcam, which must be switched on during the training to ensure interactive work

for experts and power-users

This 2-day online training is designed for those who have completed the anynode Basic Online Training and already have a solid understanding of using anynode. Participants will dive into advanced configurations and build the expertise needed to become anynode experts.

The training offers a deeper look into the core components of anynode and is primarily aimed at users with experience who have already attended the anynode basic training. The goal is to handle complex functions even more confidently in day-to-day operations.

Among other things, the topics include registrar functions, transport connections, extended routing options, and extended analysis options. A detailed list of the training content can be found below.

In addition, content learned in the anynode basic training course is integrated into the exercises, and, tips to enhance the anynode experience are taught. This training can also address topics that are of particular interest to the participants

This training provides you with the necessary knowledge and the appropriate tools to plan, build, and reliably operate highly available anynode environments. You will learn how to avoid failure scenarios and how to configure systems so that they continue to run stably even in the event of a fault.

You will receive a hands-on overview of concepts, architectures and configurations in the area of high availability with anynode. This includes:

Fundamentals of high availability: backends, central management and technical prerequisites

Replication and active/active scenarios: differences, use cases and limitations

Hot-standby concepts: Azure Traffic Manager, Azure Load Balancer and using a floating IP address

External integrations: e.g., MariaDB as a central database or Azure Traffic Manager

Hands-on exercises: step-by-step guides to simulate failover scenarios and to analyze and resolve common problems

After completing the training, you will be able to independently implement and monitor a robust and redundant anynode environment.

This training is aimed at administrators and advanced users who have already gained practical experience with anynode and wish to deepen their knowledge in the area of high availability. Participants should be familiar with the anynode user interface and the basic functions of anynode.

Successful completion of the anynode Basic training is required to take part in this training. Only in this way can the advanced concepts and exercises on high availability be followed and understood optimally.
