Release Numbers
This guide provides an overview of the release models and practices for the anynode software releases. At TE-SYSTEMS, release numbers for anynode are typically organized using a versioning system.
This scheme consists of three numbers separated by dots, which is called semantic versioning:
Major release number: It increases by 1 for each release that brings substantial changes to anynode, encompassing infrastructure and architectural modifications. This type of release comprises multiple minor releases.
Release version number: Increases by 2 for each public release, introducing new functions and features.
Patch release number: It increases by 1 for each release that provides critical bug fixes and security enhancements for existing features and functions.
This approach helps organize software development and provides users with clear information about the type of changes to expect in a particular version. Typically, the highest version number is always the latest version of anynode.
In our release notes, you will find an overview of all new features, improvements, and bug fixes. The release notes are updated with each release of a new version.
For particularly noteworthy new features during new major releases, we provide additional documents and video tutorials. Visit our homepage for all the latest developments.
The anynode frontend always displays the version number of your anynode installation in the bottom left corner. Additionally, in the Information menu, you can find an overview of version numbers for the installed anynode services:
