anynode - The Software SBC
anynode is a software-based Session Border Controller (SBC) and Back-to-Back User Agent (B2BUA) designed to manage and secure real-time communication across IP-based networks. It handles SIP signaling and media streams independently on both sides of a connection, a key requirement for modern VoIP and Unified Communications environments.
The software runs on common hardware as well as in virtual environments. anynode can be added to existing VoIP systems or used in new installations, whether operated on‑premises or in cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
With its modular architecture, anynode supports a wide range of SIP trunking scenarios and ensures strong interoperability with various PBXs, SIP providers, and network components.
As a software solution, anynode replaces traditional hardware SBCs. This reduces maintenance effort, makes scaling easier, and allows licensing based on actual usage. System resources can be adjusted as needed.
