Prerequisites for Integrating anynode with Mitel OpenScape 4000
Before deploying anynode in conjunction with Mitel OpenScape 4000, ensure that the telephony environment is properly prepared. The following conditions must be met to guarantee a stable SIP trunk integration:
-
The OpenScape 4000 must be fully configured for native SIP trunking. This includes setting up the HG 3500 gateway with a SIP Trunk Profile, defining SIP parameters, codecs, and ensuring correct routing behavior. Refer to Mitel’s official documentation or certified configuration guides for details on AMOs and SIP trunk profiles.
-
anynode must not be configured until the SIP trunk setup on the PBX side is fully completed. This ensures that signaling and media paths are correctly established and eliminates unnecessary troubleshooting.
-
If anynode is deployed outside the local network, a public IP address and a corresponding DNS A-record must be available. The FQDN used by anynode must resolve correctly to the public IP.
-
Firewall rules must allow SIP signaling (typically UDP/TCP port 5060 or 5061 for TLS), DNS resolution, and RTP media traffic (usually UDP ports in the 10000–20000 range, depending on configuration). NAT traversal should be considered if applicable.
-
Ensure that the network infrastructure supports proper routing between anynode and the OpenScape 4000 system. Administrative access to both systems is required for configuration and diagnostics.
-
The VoIP environment must be operational, including reachable endpoints, valid dial plans, and codec compatibility between systems.
-
SIP credentials (if registration is used, even if it is not recommended with the OpenScape 4000) or static IP-based trust relationships must be defined for all involved nodes.
-
An active anynode license is required, either production or trial. It defines which features are available and how many calls can be handled.
