Integration of anynode with Mitel OpenScape 4000

Mitel’s OpenScape 4000 is a hybrid telephony and unified communications platform for medium to large enterprises. It supports both TDM and IP-based voice services and can be deployed centrally or in distributed environments with high availability and redundancy.

OpenScape 4000 provides core PBX functions such as call forwarding, hunt groups, conferencing, and support for a wide range of endpoints, including digital phones, IP devices, DECT handsets, and soft clients. It also integrates with unified messaging, presence, and collaboration tools. Standards-based interfaces such as SIP enable interoperability with third-party systems and simplify integration into existing IT environments.

anynode, a software-based Session Border Controller (SBC), extends OpenScape 4000 with secure SIP connectivity. It provides protocol normalization, media transcoding, and TLS/SRTP encryption. This is particularly useful for connecting OpenScape 4000 to SIP trunks, cloud services, or platforms such as Microsoft Teams via Direct Routing.

Together, OpenScape 4000 and anynode form a flexible communications infrastructure. The combination supports modernization of telephony environments while maintaining control over routing, security, and interoperability.
