Codec Parameters

The codec parameters are configured as shown below. Most settings are managed via CGWB-AMO. An example configuration is provided in the Common Gateway Board (CGWB) chapter. anynode-related codec settings can be reviewed in Chapter Media Negotiation.

Although the default settings typically function properly, it is recommended that you use G.711 (a-law and/or μ-law) codecs with a frame size of 20 milliseconds. This is the standard for Voice over IP (VoIP), including anynode. Deviating from these settings may cause transcoding issues in the OpenScape environment or with other interconnected instances and devices.
