anynode - Let's Get Started

Video: In the Let's Get Started video you will learn how to set up anynode with the first start, selecting a scenario and starting the guided setup process.

This chapter outlines the fundamental steps for the anynode setup, beginning with installation, initial frontend launch, and Wizard configuration. We assume you're working on a clean anynode installation. Please consult our 'First Steps' instructional video if you require more detailed installation instructions.

By default, anynode's frontend access is restricted to port 8088 unless the port wasn't changed through the installation options and the localhost hostname or the IPv4 loopback address 127.0.0.1. To perform maintenance and administration tasks on anynode from a different computer, you can enable remote access and add a web server connector.

For detailed instructions, refer to our video tutorial on Remote Access or consult our Let's Encrypt & Co. with ACME TechNote, specifically its sub-chapter on Creating an HTTPS Connector.

For security reasons, we strongly advise that the web server connector's access be limited to within the corporate network.
